we seem to have an issue doing refunds of specific items in an order (we noticed it for items on layby but maybe it applies for all!). Anyway, we've had customers put perhaps two items on layby, when they return they only want to proceed with one, so we try to refund the other (note we are not refunding any amount as none has been paid), the system says the item is refunded but it still appears on the order!
Guys any update on this- this is now a major issue!
Because if a customer puts something on layby using the recommended method, then this item is removed from the inventory available for online sales for instance... and there is no way to cancel this layby. Even going through the main shopify admin interface, the option to 'refund' certain items is not available if the items haven't been paid for! So the only way to put something back into stock is by cancelling the entire order, which we can't do if the customer purchased one of the items on hold...
please address this ASAP..
