Is it possible to disable quick sale?

Is it possible to disable the quicksale option from the Point of Sale screen. It makes inventory tracking impossible and can lead to the wrong price being charged for products.

The quick sale feature is built into the Shopify POS system, and at this time it can't be disabled.  However, I would be happy to send your feature request to our product team. Yes please forward it to development. I think it would be a good option
for managers to be able to disable quick sales.

Please also submit a request for me to have the option to disable this Quick Sale function.  I understand this isn't a guarantee  it can be done, but it really does cause me a lot of pain when staff use it.   Inventory, Tax, and Consignment payout issues happen each time it is used. 

 

Please do your best to be an advocate for a solution that allows us to turn it off.

I also absolutely need this feature, non admins should be required to ask permission before authorizing a sale items that is not in the system! Basic stuff here...

Please add me to the list, the Quick Sale feature is trouble.  It needs a way to be disabled or to have notifications or rules placed on it.

I don't mind having the quick sale feature available, however I would like to have the system force the sales clerk to enter a description. Currently they can bypass the description (title) and just enter a price. I would prefer that the system returns an error if the description is left blank. Optional rules would also be nice to have. For example, a quick sale can only go through if it's associated with a specific customer.

I have the same problem with quick sale, it fulfills automatically whether stock available or not. I need at least be able to turn this off by default.

I have the same problem. In addition to it causing inventory/reporting issues, it's also creating serious issues with our integration with other software. For instance, Quick Sales orders (including line items as part of a multi-line item order) do not make it over to Zoho CRM, which is the core of our business model. I suspect it's not making it's way over because there's no Quick Sale "product" in Shopify, and the integration with Zoho requires a product. Note, we didn't built this integration ourselves. 

I agree with above statements..this is pretty basic stuff...we need better control over the Quick Sale feature. As others, I don't mind it being there, but it needs serious improvements.
