Missing POS sale

Second time this has now happened.

I made a sale to a POS customer yesterday morning. When the sale was going through my iPad lost signal, i hit restart when it asked me to (or cancel) and the transaction went through fine.  After that I restarted my iPad as this usually fixes the connection issue. Sadly the sale did not save anywhere in Shopify and now my till won't balance.

This is the second time this has happened - is there any reason why a local version of the sale wouldn't save immediately and then upload itself on restart?  I now can't reconcile yesterday's sales.


There's no break in order numbers and no break in receipt numbers so I don't have any record of it, but I know that it was for £18, paid for with a £20 note as I made the sale.  How can I stop this happening again?
