Problems with the pop-up card reader on iPhone 5

I hav gone through the documentation, but when I try to swipe a card it does not read.

I have payments enabled. I ensured my volume was all the way up and unmuted, and that no other audio deceves were running. My iOS is up to date. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app. I have checked that the app has permission to use the microphone, made sure the reader was plugged all the way in.

The app does not give me any error when a card is swiped. It simply does nothing. I have tried scanning the card every which way, I have tried multiple cards. I'm wondering if anyone else has maybe thought of something that I haven't. Thanks in advance for your replies.

Hi Thanh, 

Kayleen here, a Guru for Shopify. 

The only thing that I can see that is missing is you have to grant microphone-jack permissions to the Shopify POS app.

This is done in the ipad setting.

This should allow you to swipe cards.
