I totally agree, Tokyo Deli! I wish it could be done better.

Wow, I wish I would have known tipping was not an option. I called and aksed about this specifically months ago and I was told the POS could do tipping and after buying everything and setting up the items, needless to say I am EXTREMELY frustrated that there is NOT actually a tipping option. I need to switch out ASAP and I hope I get a refund on all the equipment. This feature is key.
I have potentially hundreds of customers I could bring onto the Shopify POS who are currenlty using Square, or other competitors. They will continue to NOT use Shopify POS simply becuse there isn't a tipping feature. An average day nets them $150 in POS tips on Square, so it just doesn't make business sense to switch. It's really frustrating that Shopify hasn't added such a fundamental feature. Isn't it extra money in everyone's pocket, including Shopify's?
It's really lame, if you upvote this, maybe they'll give me the power I need to make the tipping app work in a useful manner. https://ecommerce.shopify.com/c/shopify-apps/t/new-shopifypos-api-features-353697
As a potential new customer I really like what I am seeing with Shopify POS.
But, as it has already been pointed out numerous times on this forum for several years now they are missing one key feature that without it alienates the largest industry in the world. The Service industry. The fact that on the payment screen there isn't a feature that prompts a client to add a Tip is a big problem for us and I am sure for many other types of business. From coffee shops and bakeries to hair salons the ability to discreetly suggest a tip is a necessity. This is common feature that almost all other POS systems (Revel) and card processing apps (Intuit GoPayment & Square) already have.
