advice on new hardware

hi, currently we're having someone build our shopify for use as a website and for in store PoS via the app. we were looking at using it via android tablets, and my question is will i be able to use a standard bluetooth receipt printer (with cash drawer attached to it via RJ11), and a standard bluetooth barcode scanner? has anyone else had any success in this setup?
and what sort of specs for android tablets would we need to run comfortably?

Last I checked you can only use the peripherals with the iOS app on the iPad.

so you can't use peripherals with the android app at all? does the android app not work the same as the iOS version?

You'll want to confirm with support but yes last I heard that's how it was.

Pro tip is to buy your hardware from Amazon or other retailer so you're not paying Shopify's arbitrary mark-up. Just get a list of hardware model numbers from them so you can confirm compatibility
