Uploading new product shots. All files less than 1mb. Uploading 4 images. One image wont upload. Error says it's over 20mb. Its less than 1mb. How can I upload this file. Is there another parameter not mentioned that is causing error?

What type of file is it?

Shopify accepts .jpg.png, and .gif file types for images and all major video file types such as .mp4 and .mov. If you upload .svg image files, then they will be converted to .png. The best file type for product images, pages, and blog posts is .jpg. The best file type for logos, borders, and trims is .png.

Did you get an answer to this?  I'm having the same issue trying to upload .jpg files that are 6 and 7 mb.

I had the same issue but I think that even though the file size is well under 20MB (mine are around 5MB), the pixel dimensions are over the allowable maximum (specific to product images). From https://help.outofthesandbox.com/hc/en-us/articles/360041431733-How-Shopify-themes-handle-and-conver...

As a general rule of thumb, for best results you should upload the highest quality image you have within the 20MB or 20 megapixel limit but at 72dpi. For product images, Shopify has an additional limit of 4,472 by 4,472 pixels.

My product images are 3888 × 5184 which I'm guessing is what triggers the error
