We have been working with a lot of CPG / FMCG's here in the US and have seen a tremendous surge in implementing image optimization (GS1 / Cambridge mobile treatments). In addition to image optimization some advanced brands are creating 3D assets for ecomm shelf. 3D OBJ's make sense, but some of our auto parts etc... type of clients are using 360's. COVID 19 has sparked the above interests and transformations... at the end of the day these are better experiences for consumers. Unfortunate it took a crisis to ignite the above innovations.
Shopify has had 3D and AR support for awhile on iOS
360 video, or 360 photo galleries are a different beast and not a generalized feature.
