API for product designs... Is this possible?

Hi!

I have a small website I built for reading and submitting haikus. I’m looking for an API option where each haiku would have a button to essentially direct the user to a page where that haiku is displayed on a variety of products (shirts, mugs, stickers, etc). From there the user would pick what they want and submit the order. 

It looks like I could manually set up each haiku as a product and then link that haiku from my page to the Shopify page but there are over 500 haikus so I'm hoping there's an automated option to send the actual haiku (which is just simple text in 3 different fonts) in an API call to have the Shopify page dynamically created. Is this possible?
