Able to add more qty beyond what is available even with tracking inventory

Hi,

I am using the Brooklyn theme and customers are able to add whatever qty they like when add to cart and only at check out it notifies them that there is limited stock. I.e. they can add a 100 pieces and then at check out it says only 2 available. 

I have checked Track Inventory and unchecked Continue selling when stock runs out. So I am not sure why this is happening. 

Please help.

Nancy, most themes allow you to add to cart more than available. Even in cart it's not usually enforced, only at checkout stage, when stock is actually reserved for the purchase. 

So your shop works as designed.

It's possible to modify theme to either display available stock level or control availability (at least at cart stage).
