Adding Brooklyn theme Full-Width Slideshow to Minimal theme

Hi everyone!

I am trying to add a full-width image header that also shows up behind the navigation bar to the Minimal theme. I installed the Brooklyn theme to see how it's done there, and it's a Slideshow section. Obviously just creating a new section in the Minimal theme code with that code copied over isn't enough (I know, I tried it anyway), so I'm wondering if anyone can help me out.

Here's how the image I'd like to use looks on the Brooklyn theme.

And here's how the section looks if I just create a new section in the Minimal theme copying the Slideshow code from the Brooklyn theme. You can see it doesn't space out the different sections correctly and doesn't really sit where it's supposed to in relation to the header/nav bar.

And here it is with the image added – the image doesn't even fill up the space that's indicated by the section template 😂
