I am setting my store on Shopify and I had to add new payment method in order to meet Google Shopping requirements as there was a notification from Google Shopping. But after that I got a notification that my Google Merchant account is suspended. However, I don't even have one. Did anyone have a similar problem? Thanks for any help.
@JonWright I don't know if it was set up via Google Ads, but Google Ads is definitely connected to store. There were no problems with this Merchant before. If there is like "automatic" account on Merchant, will the access be the same as for Ads?
Hi - no it's not automatic & not necessarily same log-in. But if you have a product feed appearing in Google Ads then you have a Google Merchant account (and that Merchant Account is getting a feed from Shopify in one way or another). Most likely though that the merchant account uses the same Google account to log-in as Google Ads so worth trying to log in to Merchant Centre with that account.
Have you connected Shopify to Google Shopping via the Shopify Google Shopping App or some other product feed?
If your Google Merchant Center account is suspended and it was due to the checkout. If you have resolved the issue. You can request for a review here: https://support.google.com/merchants/contact/suspended
Please note, while you may have used automated systems to set everything up, you are still required to follow all policies. Such as adding contact details, not drop shipping, submitting accurate data etc...
The unfortunate side effect of using automated tools without knowing much about Google Shopping can lead to suspensions. And Google is very strict, repeated violations may lead to a permanent suspension. So get help from specialists or study the documentation to avoid any permanent suspensions.
Hope this helps.
