You can change the layout / style of your site with CSS.
1) Inspect the element to see what class or CSS rule applies to that element. Inspect by right clicking in a browser like Chrome then clicking "Inspect" and selecting the element.
2) You can edit the value from the console during inspection mode to see what it looks like when you change it.
3) Once you know what you want it set to, add the CSS rule to your stylesheet. I like to keep all custom CSS in a custom.scss.liquid file.
*Duplicate your theme first so you have a backup in case something goes wrong.
Hey, that's super helpful, thank you so much!
But I got stuck on the moment "add the CSS rule to your stylesheet. I like to keep all custom CSS in a custom.scss.liquid file." Where is all that?:)
I inspected the code, changed the way I needed it, but I don't know how to save these chages.
Thanks you again!
Thank you for your question.
Please share your store URL, page URL and also password (if your store has one), I'll help you out to the best of my ability.
@Klmnsk it's a file you create in your theme editor > Assets folder.
Here's how to create that file, include in your theme, and add the CSS: https://speedboostr.com/how-to-safely-edit-your-shopify-theme.
Once you create that, any custom CSS edits you make can go in there, and if you ever update your theme, the customizations are safe - will not be overwritten by updates.
