Checkout confirmation step

Hi -

I'm looking to add a confirmation step to my checkout flow.  Shopify used to provide a setting to turn this on, but it's since been deprecated (despite still being in the documentation).  Does anyone use this today?  I'd like to look an example site where it is in use.

Hey there, @tjmoretto!

Ryder here, from the Social Care Team at Shopify. Thanks for posting! The "Require a Confirmation" Setting exists for different stores based on what country they have under Settings > General.

Typically this stage of checkout is only enabled in countries where it is mandatory by law. The reason it's been left out in certain countries is because it's statistically been found to drastically reduce conversion rates.

You can watch a video of how the "Review" or confirmation page appears after the Payment page in the checkout here.

Knowing that this could reduce your conversion rates, if you still want the ability to enable it - we can help you with that. I'll just need to authenticate the Account Owner on file for the store in order to gain access and make the change. Just let me know, and I'll send you an email to get the verification process started! Hope this helps.

Cheers!

Hi Ryder -

That would be great.  I'll want to start with this in our test environment first.  Just send me an email with instructions to confirm store ownership, etc.

Thanks!

My pleasure, @tjmoretto! I've gone ahead and sent you the email to the email address associated to your Community Forums account. If this is the same email address as the account owner of your store, you can simply respond with your shop's .myshopify.com URL to the email. Otherwise, you'll need to CC the correct email address into the email thread and respond through there.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon!
