Liquid, JavaScript, themes, sales channels
Hi there!
I'm struggling with currency converter here, - detects and works fine on collection pages - somewhat good on product pages, but it's all a mess when I add to cart.
So - a product cost 450 dkk
I convert it to euros € it and it cost around 62€ .. also fine.
But when i add to cart the amount is suddenly 450€ which is kind of a mix of the two. (250euro would be around 3300 dkk, which I would think would have my customers run out of the store.
So is there a way to fix this?
I use shopify geolocation + the one in the footer of theme brooklyn.
The footer seems to work fine though, there is just only footer option and I don't think my customers sees that converter when it's only placed in bottom of store.
Thanks!
Hello, @Karina100,
It seems you will need to run the numbers themselves through a currency filter on the second number.
The symbol changes but the number does not.
You can safely copy the liquid code rendering the first number over to the second one.
Alternatively, you could add a filter like
-> {{ 145 | money_with_currency }}
To fix the second number.
Thanks, - and where would I put this filter?
Hello, @Karina100,
In your theme source files, look at the sections folder.
It's slightly different for different themes, but there should be a file in the sections folder named cart or checkout.
Search those files for the word subtotal.
Add your filter there.
If you'd like me to do it for you on a separate theme, please message me.
