It seems that customers who have a Gmail-account, do not receiver their order confirmation mail.
As a test I entered some of my Gmail and other mailaccounts (Outlook, Hotmail) in the Staff order notications list and sent a mail message.
The message sent to the Outlook- en Hotmailaccounts were sent without a problem, but my 2 Gmail-accounts never received a mail.

I have a suggestion for you! Please look for your order notification in the spam/junk folder of your Gmail inbox. When notifications aren’t arriving to your primary inbox, this is usually where they are getting directed to.
Also, are you using a third party domain on your store by any chance? If so, then please also follow the steps in this Help Doc to add Shopify’s SPF and DKIM records to your domain’s DNS settings. This will ensure all notifications reach your customers email inboxes moving forward.
