Debut theme, how to add extra variant buttons

I am in the process of setting up my shop, I sell bath and body products with different fragrances.  In products, variants I have the option of color, size and material. How do I add a variant for fragrance so that when a customer wants to buy a lotion they are able to click on drop-down menu to choose different fragrance type.  I searched this community, facebook and utube but cannot find the answer.  Thank you

Hi @sylviashattler ,

If you've already used up three variants then you've hit the Shopify restriction on this, you cannot natively add more than 3 variants unless you use an external app for that. An example would be this app.
