Development environment set-up for MacOSX with Homebew

Hello,

The documentation states that the variables file should be located here:

MacOSX

${HOME}/Library/Application Support/Shopify/Themekit/variables

I installed Themekit via homebrew and was curious if the above path and directory need to be manually created. I've also come across this thread: https://community.shopify.com/c/Technical-Q-A/Setting-environment-variables-for-Themekit/m-p/609036#... and one of the solutions were to create the "Variables" file in the root of the project. This might have worked for a Windows set-up but not for my case.

I've been having the same issues. I do not see a folder path ~/Library/Application Support/Shopify/Themekit/variables. Haven't been able to find a solution. Will store my variables within the project folder and add that file to .gitignore.

Hey @getpop-pkbanks, 

I too was also very confused. That directory needs to be created. What I ended up doing was adding that file to my project and like you said to add that to .gitignore
