Hi, @Studio21_2021.

Sophia here from Shopify. Welcome to the Shopify Community!

The error message appears to be coming up only for the subdomain (www.), not the root domain. For now, I recommend directing customers and anyone testing to the root domain if they need to view the website (just without the 'www.' beforehand).

The error that's coming up on the subdomain could indicate that there's an issue with the domain's SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) certificate. The error I'm seeing in Google Chrome is NET::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID. I ran through the troubleshooting steps for that error from Google, though the error still appears with http:// included, and in an Incognito Window.

I would like to take a closer look into this with our Technical Support team to see if we can resolve the issue for you. Can you please confirm the following information?

  • the date the domain was connected to your Shopify store
  • whether both the subdomain (www.) and root domain appear under Online Store > Domains in your admin
  • whether you bought the domain from Shopify or transferred or connected a third-party domain

Thank you so much! I look forward to your reply.
