Domain name is incorrect once the password is removed

Hello all,

I've purchased the domain name from GoDaddy (tried with Shopify as well) - both times, once the password is removed, the online URL goes something like this

https://myshop.com/?key=1f440c3e55559882c0cb9bf258c92361ba13095c1e804299f77516e28dba724d.

This should just be myshop.com, and not the rest.  I am not sure how this appears.  Any help is appreciated.

Where are you clicking to get to that URL? Could be some reference link that is trying to track something. Your domain works fine, I just tried going to https://myshop.com/ and it opens a webpage, but this is not redirect to Shopify

Thanks; I got the domain names from both godaddy and shopify.  "myshop" is actually not the domain, it is just example, since I am still working on the website.  Both times, as long as the site is password protected, it shows as "www.myshop.com." but once I remove the password, it shows up with this additional stuff.  Happened with both godaddy and shopify purchased domains.

Hey, 

Based on your reply it sounds like you are still in staging aka "Preview Mode". Try publishing your theme and then visiting your URL by manually typing it into the browser.

Let me know if it still appends the string of characters after the URL.

This will give more context to your issue.

Also, I understand your site is a work-in-progress, but it would help the community to assist you if you provided the purchased URL for us.

Hello, "myshop" is just an example.  I am still working on the website.
