Hi
I'm getting the following error showing against all my products in the Google search console.
Either "offers", "review", or "aggregateRating" should be specified.
Anyone seen this before / know how to resolve?
Damian

I can fix it but the agreegate rating and review related meta is error fixing is not possible because you have not installed any Product review app on your store.
Hi @Akshay_V , yes please fix if possible as I have no idea how to do this. We also have a product review app installed... its called Stamped.io.
Please advise on how to fix agreegate rating and review related meta if possible. Your help is much appreciated, thanks!

https://www.caribee.com/products/helium-30l-backpack
https://www.caribee.com/products/combat-32l-backpack
Thanks
@Matt1121
I have tested your link and I found there are few errors can be solved by implementing a new code. Only review error https://prnt.sc/psrk8h not possible to fix it because it store in the app server and it is not required for SEO because google only shows product name, description, and rating.
If you want to fix other error then let me know. I am not available on the forum then you can contact me on my email.
@McGreals
Please check the revert back mail.

Hi Visely-Team
Thanks for your great advice! I have another error popping up from aggregateRating
Error Message: thing is not a known valid target type for the itemreviewed property
Can you kindly advise how I can fix it?
Thanks
Iky
Hey @MTNShop you might want to have a look at - https://webmasters.googleblog.com/2019/09/making-review-rich-results-more-helpful.html; it looks like you have your review widget attached to a schema type that was dropped by Google in Sept 2019.
@Visely-Team Oh yes! You are right!
So, I need to get someone to put the review thing under 'schema.org/Product'? Do you have any tips for me?
I actually approached Shopify to have it solved! Hopefully, I'll get the answer soon!
Jumping on board the frustration train too ... !! This is driving me slowly insane I think .. !! 😄
For some strange reason this is my scenario:
Then when I click TEST LIVE URL it turns the red warning to amber and states they are valid (below), as opposed to the above which states invalid.
So I subsequently think, "great!" — and then submit indexing again for this valid page, followed by requesting validation of the errors (affecting all our product pages with reviews) — only for Google to then tell me the validation failed and I'm back to the invalid warning again, as below.
Funnily enough, if I click TEST LIVE URL once again, it then tells me they are valid!
I appreciate there are experts to pay, but surely the Shopify Product Review App team should really be doing the work for us to get it fixed? If a hired Shopify Expert can fix it then why can't the development team? It makes no sense at all!
I've edited the liquid code for a few features I've added in the past — but I'm honestly too afraid I'll make a mistake with this as, quite frankly, I wouldn't know where to start, as it seems to be ever-so-slightly different for everyone?
I'll be devastated if we lose our rankings / get penalised by Google because of this!
Fingers crossed for everyone 🌱
Our website is made in Shopify. The same error is coming in our Google console. Please tell how to fix it?

Hi,
I have a similar issue.
Can anyone help me fix this?
I can't seem to find the problem on my code editor. I don't even know where to look for.
The affected URL is: https://silkytreat.com/products/ultrasonic-skin-scrubber
Thank you,
Amit.
@Silkytreat
I have checked the product link and I found you that Google rich snippet code is repeating multiple times and it is causing an issue. Apart from this, Some of Google's rich snippet property is missing in rich snippet code.

If you want to fix this error then let me know. For faster, update you can send mail to me.
If you know how to code, you can follow the guide here: https://feedarmy.com/kb/shopify-microdata-for-google-shopping/
And remove any old structured data.
Adding the data is pretty simple when you follow my guide, but removing the old structured data does require knowledge of schema, Shopify Twigg, and HTML. So if you think this is not something you are comfortable with, yes you can contact me on the referenced page at the bottom using the contact form.
@Silkytreat
Without coding skills, you can not fix it by yourself and if you try then maybe it will increase error because as I told you Google rich snippet code is repeating in your theme code. If you want to fix it then you can hire me because it is chargeable. I am assuring you that this issue will completely be resolved once Google completes its validation.
@Silkytreat
Please check your inbox. If you agree with then let me know I will send the store admin collaborator access request to you.
Could you take a look at our website products as well, we are getting the same errors? I would greatly appreciate it!
The store is vavoomvodka.com or https://vavoom-vodka.myshopify.com/
I really appreciate the help, we can't get our reviews to work properly and index with Google since we changed themes.
Ben
@RiseMarketing
Well, I have checked your site and I found that error is coming because Google rich snippet code is repeating twice in your theme. Apart from this, some value is not included in the theme file. So let me know if you want to fix it.

If you are able to help that would be greatly appreciated!

For Facebook/Google product data I find this additional scripts from Feedarmy can be be quite useful - simple to add if your Shopify theme is basic.

Hi Visely,
I have just started my store and I am receiving the same issues:
Either "offers", "review", or "aggregateRating" should be specified
My domain URL its reporting on is www.greendog.pet
Thanks
Also got a few other errors which I've attached an image of. Thanks
Hello @GreenDog have you tried to install my structured data code, that will resolve most of your warnings and errors.
Hi @Nisha_S_Nair @SIKROX
I have read your issue note and I want to tell you that I can fix schema error but the review will not display because it is store in the review app server.
If you want to fix it then email or Skype me. I will back to you shortly.
Can you explain what you meant here:
"review will not display because it is store in the review app server."
Thank you
Got the error appear in search console today. Ran the page through the structured data testing tool.
Clicked on the Aggregate Rating error.
Per this post https://wordpress.org/support/topic/thing-is-not-a-known-valid-target-type-for-the-itemreviewed-prop... Google changed their requirements so that thing is no longer valid for itemReviewed. It probably needs to be changed to product.
This is likely affecting all Shopify customers that use their reviews app. https://apps.shopify.com/product-reviews
Shopify needs to update the app so that the reviews are outputting the appropriate structured data.
@SIKROX
The customer review will not display on-site search but the customer rating will only display. The customer rating average is known as aggregate rating.
What would you recommend for a next step? Contact shopify? and
If we leave it as is will that effect us on google? If we fix it will it mess with our reviews?
Yes, Shopify needs to be involved. Until then your products will not be eligible to be shown as rich snippets which will affect SEO/organic search traffic. I just managed PPC for a client, don't have a store myself, so I don't really have a vested enough interest to contact support, especially considering my first experience with support was ehm - disappointing to say the least. I'm sure they have someone lurking in the shadows watching this thread, might take a day or two for them to talk about it and respond. If someone else wants to pick up the torch, by all means.
@SIKROX
Shopify contact support only helps if you facing any issue with Shopify admin, Otherwise, they suggest you to go with Expert and take the solution.
If you leave an aggregate rating and other meta issues then it affects on-site SEO and Google page ranking so you need to fix it except customer review.
For this, if you want any help to fix it then let me know. you can also contact me on below contact details.
So you don't think an issue with an App created by Shopify needs to be fixed by Shopify? I mean they are literally the app creator. Why would they refer you to a Shopify partner to fix their app?
@tnhsaesop
Hi if you are facing any issue with app then you need to contact app support they will assist you to fix the issue.
This error is because of "product review" app.
Especially, this line- <div id="shopify-product-reviews" data-id="{{product.id}}">{{ product.metafields.spr.reviews }}</div> in static-product-reviews.liquid
I am wondering how you gonna fix it?
@Aircon-land
Can you please elaborate on the issue so I can help you to fix it. Also please share your store URL.
