I am working on a new site for a customer, which will not be used for sales (it will happen in the future). For the time being we need to let customers add products to the cart, then once they are in the shopping cart page, they should be able to fill a form with contact information and press a submit button, which will send an email to a store's staff member with the list of products the customer is interested in.
I have development experience with other CMSs but I'm relatively new to Shopify. If someone could give me some pointers on where to look for the necessary information to implement this, or kindly give me a little direction I would appreciate it a lot. So far, after some rounds of research, I'm not sure how to proceed.
