How can I embed a persistent cart button on multiple pages of my HTML website?

I built my own HTML website and am using Apliiq and Shopify's buy button as my shopping venues.

I want costumes to be able to add items to the cart in different pages and have the cart persist site-wide until the customer decides to check out. 

currently all I am able to do is add the cart Icon to a single page of my website (lets say productX.html) and once the user leaves the page and goes back to (lets say products.html) the cart icon is gone.

How can I do that?

the info you have provided does not solve my problem.

I want to be able to add specific items to cart at diffrent pages but have the cart persist in all of them (and in pages where you can't add items).

Could you please provide any reference as how you would like to display the items in the cart so that I can assist you better?
