Flickity does not get initialized

I'm having a problem to initialize the flickity carousel. When I check the resources, I see that it gets loaded but the functions don't.

What I'm trying to replicate is this: https://codepen.io/spreceriany/pen/KKzNPwm

The problem is that the section doesn't get to the actual carousel but the quotes stack up on top of each other. When I check the console I see that the functions are blue which I assume they won't get initialized but the flickity.js does. Any idea why?
