This is an accepted solution.

Hi, @saimniekslv!

My name is Lilith, I'm on the Social Care team at Shopify.

It sounds like you might have some code in your product-template.liquid section in your theme code.

Normally this might be caused by a built-in feature of a third-party theme or an app that had been installed before.

Here's the snippet causing the appearance of this:

09-20-ezlvb-totv9

That screenshot was directly from the Chrome developer tools elements tab.

I recommend using oscprofessional's solution above if you want to reactivate that element in the future. This way you can keep it.

However, if you want to remove it altogether or find the snippet you can follow the next steps below.

If you want to find the code causing this you can find it by doing the following:

1. Go to Online Store > Themes.

2. Click on Actions > Edit Code.

3. Depending on which theme you have you can open up the folders and click on product-template.liquid. Normally this might be under the Sections folder.

4. Based on the info from the Chrome developer tool, what you're looking for in this code section is something that looks similar to this:

<div class="flash--total-sold">
   <div class="flash--total-soldflash">
      <span class="flash-fire"></span>
         <span id="TotalSold"></span> sold in last <span id="InHours"></span> hours
    </div>
</div>

Once you find that you can either remove it, comment it out or move it.

Let me know how you do with the information above! I'm happy to answer any questions you think of as you work on your business.

This worked but where do you go to remove it on the "Quick View" section of the item?

@nouritress, I'm not sure what section that would be. However, it depends on the theme you're using. Some themes have "Quick View" as a setting that you can change in the theme editor.

Have you looked through your theme settings and sections for this?

I found it without having to edit code:

Go to customise theme

theme settings

product quickview

and disable "THE NUMBER OF PRODUCTS HAS BEEN SOLD"

Nicely done, @Healthyhouse! Would you mind sharing which theme you did this on? This might help others working on the exact same theme that you have.

Themes will have very different settings and code, one solution may not work for another theme. It would be excellent if you were to share which theme this works best on
