Why is Google Merchant not approving my Shopify account?

Hie there!

Anyone else is fighting with google merchant? I am in this situation for 2 months. Every time they find something to not approve my account and it suspended. I had check verything and tried to fix the issue of: Misrepresentation.

I had email them and this is the answer:

Hi Alex,

Greetings from Shopping Ads customer support. Hope you are doing great.

Issue:

I am writing this mail in regards to your query for the Merchant Center account .... suspension due to Violation Of Shopping policy.

Investigation:

We understand your concern and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused to you.

Post reviewing the account, we would like to share that the Merchant Center account continues to be in violation of our policy as the account doesn't comply with our Program Policies.

Please visit the article to get more information about the violations of Shopping policy.

Also, we can see that the account provides the low quality landing page experiences promoted through your website due to which the account doesn't comply with our Program Policies and therefore, we have disabled the account.

Resolution:

Hence, we would request you to go through the policies mentioned above and also to review the Terms of service available at, here.Google reserves the right to terminate any user's participation at any time.

We won't be able to provide you with any further details regarding the suspension of the account.

Google’s primary objective is to provide safe, relevant experiences for our users.

Next Steps:

As you may recall, the Terms and Conditions to which you agreed to when you signed up for Google Ads state that Google reserves the right to disable any ads when deemed necessary.


Again, we’re sorry for any inconvenience that may cause and thank you for your understanding. We appreciate your cooperation.

Only if your business is located in the US, must you add tax to all prices.

You are not alone, I am in the same boat. I've been at it about two months as well, made hundreds of tweaks to landing page, products, policies, google platforms/accounts, settings, etc.

No matter what I do it is still suspended for misrepresentation. I tried requesting support from Google Ads since my ads account became suspended too; I thought I was getting somewhere when I reached a real person. Nope, now my account has been disabled again and I got the exact same response regarding the quality of my landing page, which I guess is better than the generic policy compliance message. My Merchant products are still suspended for violations related to shopping ads policy but they will not provide any hints on resolving this. Seems like the issue is no GTIN but other sources say this is not an issue. I'm chasing my tail, this is a fun game.  Site: https://zimtwaffels.com/

 

It looks like you are using Debut theme as well. Are you dealing with any product data issues as well or just the misrepresentation?  I know this is probably a stretch, but I wonder if any of the experts here have seen any correlations between theme use (specifically Debut vs paid) and merchant center suspension? I know there have been issues with scammers using Shopify, perhaps Google has adjusted accordingly and is more stringent on sites with similar structure (i.e. free themes). I don't know, just a thought.

I don't have any idea about those problems. I spoke with someone from google and the same thing nothingto help me. I have all the details on my website, the payment is safe, policy etc.

I uploaded 10 products in the merchant account but for allof them I have the same issue even if I followed all the steps
