About a month ago, we started receiving a huge (to us) spike in foreign traffic. We went from getting almost none to getting 2.5 times more foreign traffic than domestic.
As you can see, this traffic goes primarily to product pages.
We don't sell internationally and believe these are bots.
We've added a country blocker, but it doesn't seem to help. Further reading revealed that it doesn't usually work against bots.
Our Google Analytics doesn't show these visitors.
Does anyone have any way to stop them from hitting Shopify and registering as a visitor? I know the pat answer is that you can't affect traffic before it reaches your site, but there must be some way. Our domain registrar says they can't do it.
Any other ideas? It's driving me crazy, and there must be some negative effect.
