Hello everyone, please see picture below:

I wonder how could I move the slideshow in yellow up to where the green box is? The only option to add anything to the green box is the "Tag" area, which doesnt make any sense to me.

Can someone help please?

Thank you!

Solutions vary wildly by theme if you don't state vital information you limit others ability to help you or inspect your store if you don't provide a url.

You should just be able to disable that either in a "heading" setting or collections if it's tags.

Otherwise you'll have to go into the template and comment out that area.

{% comment%}....{%endcomment%}

More important question is, would it make sense to customers?

Sorry sir, this is my first time ever using this forum if you have not noticed. I wasn't aware of what would be "vital" information for others to help me. Please let me know what is it that I need to provide and I will do so. In any case, here is my URL: www.a1corals.com, password is "a1ccc".

Thank you for your initial input.

That's fine learning to make effective problem statements is a process and empathy goes a long way towards knowing what references to provide for getting solutions.

Internet troubleshooting 101: other people need to be able to reproduce or see, or access what you see to do that ask yourself if I was someone else what info do they need to make a diagnosis.

Looking at site that is the simple theme your using and it's a common design complaint.

The extra whitespace is because of how tall/wide the logo is on the left side that creates that tall of a row across the entire top of the page over the banners and the navigation. AFAIK there's no setting to change this behavior.

Most stores using that theme either

  1. smaller setting size for the logo
  2. just center the logo
  3. make a logo that's more like a banner to fit across the page.
  4. hide the entire logo area to shift things upward
  5. make better banners that blend to the whitespace above them

Try some of these CSS examples to get started, place at bottom of theme.scss.liquid(or in a custom.scss)

Center it;

.site-header #HeaderLogoWrapper {
    max-width: inherit !important; /* specificity matters this is defined in a standalone <style> tag in the theme header */
    text-align: center;
    display:block;
}
#HeaderLogoWrapper a  {
    display: inline-block;
    padding-top:0 !important;
 }

#HeaderLogo {position: relative;width: initial;}

Hide it:

.site-header {
display: none;
}
