Is it possible to set a default image for a product variant?

I'm using the Debut template, and can't seem to figure out how to designate a specific image as the default one to appear when a particular variant is chosen.

Anyone know the answer to this one?

1. From your Shopify admin, go to Products > All products.

2. Click the name of the product that you want to edit.

3. In the Variants section, click the image icon to assign an image to that variant.
   

4. Select a product image or click Add image to upload a new image.

5. Click Save.

Maybe I should've added a bit more detail.

My variant's each have 5 images.  I want to be able to designate which one of the 5 appears first when someone looks at that variant.

How do I do that?

The default has to be the first variant option in the list. The only way I know of to change the default variant without custom coding is to reorder your variants, see here:
