Log in pop up when clicked on login button

Hello everyone,

I would like appear a login pop up page  when the visitor of the website clicks on log in or sign up button. I know there are so many apps but I would like to handle it by coding liquid so that the client's satisfaction will be much more. How can I get started with it?
