Why can't I log into my Shopify account with a .co.za email?

Hi. I have a South African shopify account. I am trying to login to my account and Shopify does not recognize my email address. My email address ends in .co.za and Shopify is asking for a .com address. Although my email address just worked to login to this Shopify community...? Please help. Thanks Candace.

Hi, there.

 

Dallas here from the Shopify Social Care team. That's very curious that you're receiving that message if the same email is for both accounts.

 

It sounds like this could be a cache related issue. Have you tried clearing your cache? This helpful link gives the instructions for how to clear the cache for all browsers. Can you try that and then let me know how it works?

 

If you could also try these 3 steps as well that would be great:

 

  • Can you try on another browser completely
  • Can you try on your phone using data rather than wifi
  • Can you try on this browser but in incognito mode.

 

After you try all of those steps can you take a screenshot of the error that you're seeing? If these steps fix the problem there is no need to share the screenshot, but if they don't then that will help me to have a more direct understanding of the issue.

Thanks so much for your help. I did manage to login in eventually. I am not sure what changes made it happen but I appreciate all your suggestions.

I don't know my store email. I probably signed up with an old email from another websites and started two other websites. Apparently I don't know my store names even though I've put in all permutations of what my store name could be. No 24/7 support for people who are paying customers who can't login - FB responded in 12 hours. No help there. Help me!

Just to clarify you're not sure your myshopify.com domain and you don't know your store email address is that right?
