We are using the APP: Gtranslate to translate from English to French for our Shopify store https://www.lierre.ca/. By using the APP, we've got a subdomain for the translated French version website: https://fr.lierre.ca/. The current problem is that customers landed on https://fr.lierre.ca/ cannot register or log into their account because they cannot get through reCAPTCHA. It keeps loading the page https://fr.lierre.ca/challenge.
We have contacted the support team of Gtranslate who told us it's because Shopify didn't add reCAPTCHA to the language prefixed domain. However, when we contacted support team of Shopify, they say this is something that they would not be able to do at the moment. Does anyone have similar experience or any suggestions on how to deal with this issue?
Thank you!
Not sure what you're dealing with but you can disable reCAPTCHA in Online Store > Preferences > Spam protection but then it will mean your site will have no bot protection. You could get your own reCAPTCHA code from Google to deal with that.
Google reCAPTCHA: https://www.google.com/recaptcha/intro/v3.html
Thank you very much . GT support suggested to register the subdomain in shopify as third party domain which we did .It seems to work but my account is limited on 11 domains so as I use more languages I am somewhat limited now . Good to know there are alternatives though . Again thanks for the prompt answer
