Can we directly receive orders from our ERP via EDI using a canned app?

Most of the apps with EDI are designed for people who don't have EDI. It provides the edi service to people who don't have it and connect with trading partner that do. We already have edi and a VAN. We just want to receive orders directly from shopify to our ERP via edi. Can we just get a canned app and be a "trading" partner?
