Problem connecting an existant domain

Hi all,

 

I am trying to connect my existing domain (bought on OVH) since April 11th.

I did all the steps, as explained by Shopify help.

When I go to my domain, I can see my old website showing rather than my new Shopify store. (Is this the cache of my web browser ?)

Now I deleted my old website and the domain shows nothing (but not my new Shopify store).

 

I checked on digwebinterface and the domain is pointing on Shopify IP (Please see the screenshot).

 

Same thing for my SSL, the status is still "Pending" since April 11th.

 

Can you please help me ?

Everything is ready to launch my store.

Could you let me know the domain name in question here, just so I can check a few things out from my side?

 

If you haven't already, try clearing the cache on the browser you are using or try accessing this domain from a new browser or device to see if it indeed just the local cache on your setup.

Hi Don,

 

Thanks for your quick answer.

I got a reply from the support. It is the cache.

I cleared it and it works fine now.

 

For the SSL, it appears that there is an AAAA record that is blocking the SSL. It is an 2001:41d0:301::28 record.

I deleted it and will see if it solves the issue.

Here is my domain : pohesia.com

At this moment, I set pohesia.myshopify.com as my main domain, until the SSL is ON.

Don,

 

The SSL is now working after deleting the AAAA record.

Thanks for letting us know you were able to get that sorted.

 

AAAA records may interfere with an SSL cert being issued for a domain so its best to remove them where possible.

I am facing the  same problem with connecting my domain which I bought it yesterday from Godady and still not connected.

Could you confirm the specific domain name in question here and where it was purchased (looks from the info you have shared like this is a GoDaddy domain, but we need to be certain) so we can check this out with you?

Would this issue be ongoing, or has the domain been linked to your Shopify store correctly since?

If this is a GoDaddy domain and you haven't already I'd recommend you reach out to them with some of the info you shared here to see if there's anything that needs to be done on their side of things.

You can contact GoDaddy support here.

Let us know if they have any directions to follow and if you can confirm the info I requested above, we can see if there's anything we can do from here in Shopify.
