I have printed 2000 QR codes pointing to https://subdomain.domain.com
But when going to this site, users get the message that the site is not secure and they cannot enter.
But if they just go to subdomain.domain.com without https:// it works fine.
I have talked to both Godaddy Support and Shopify Support but no help to get.
Is there not any way to make your subdomains secured so they will work with https:// in front of it?
And is it GoDaddy's fault or Shopify's ?
You'll have to get certificates for your site.
Get godaddy support and shopify to do this for you.
Likely only shopify because it's the server that needs the certificates.
The site you're sending them to has to have the certificate.
Shopify does this for it's servers, but you'll have to install them on the other server.
It's a bit of a process.
There're instructions on doing that here for your site.
You can redirect anyone anywhere, but to install the certificates you need to have access to the site, or someone with access must install them for you. Also both sites must be under the same domain even if the subdomains are different.
There are exceptions to this, but that would need things like sso and permissions management systems (like signing on with Google or Facebook)
So unfortunately you need to have access to fix the cors errors.
Are you at liberty to post the actual subdomain?
