Can I program a custom message for zero search results?

When a customer enters a product to search for, and the result is Zero... i would like to see a message pop up saying something like:
"Your Search Results......   Would you like to Search for another Product or Return to the Menu?"
Is it possible to programically add something like this or at least send the user back to the homepage/menu?
