Shopify, Google Merchant Center and the review feed

Hello,

We have a Google Merchant Center account running just fine, but we want the products to show the reviews we get via stamped.

I have been talking to both google and stamped's technical staff for quite awhile, but to no avail. The thing is that we sell custom products, which don't have neither GTIN nor MPN.

However, we implemented SKU codes for every variant of the product. We also have the brand value, and we are working to set the item group id, which is supposed to be the same as the SKU.

Do any of you know how can I get the products to show the reviews, given our circumstances?

Thank you for your help.

Item group id, is not the same as the SKU. The item group id is used to identify variations of similar products.

For example, if you have a pair of shoes that look the same but only differ in color, black, yellow, white.

Then these 3 products, will have the same item group id.

But a different SKU.

Make sure the SKU value is identical to the id value of the product in your data feed. IE do not use the default shopify_US_1321354_313154

I understand.

Right now the id value is the default one, just like the one you mention. Can you tell me what is the best way to change the attribute?

Besides, I set the attribute "identifier exists" to "No" using the rules. Should I set it back to "Yes"?

The best way to change the attribute is always at source, ie the data feed app.

In a lot of cases, depending on the functionality not everything is possible.

So you need to use feed rules : https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/7450276?hl=en

or Supplement feeds : https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/7439058?hl=en

For product identifier the following rule applies:

If a manufacturer has assigned a bar code, then submit brand, mpn (if available), GTIN and set identifier exists to yes.
If the manufacturer has not assigned a bar code, then remove the values brand, mpn, gtin and set identifier exists to no.
