Should you build or buy a product information manager (PIM)?

Software developers working in e-commerce have several options for storing product data. Whether you choose to build a solution in-house, use a third-party solution, or a hybrid approach, one of the first things you need to establish is your product information manager (PIM).

In this post, we show you the core components of a robust product information management system and walk you through the technical decisions you need to make if you decide to build your own. Along the way, we offer some things you should look for if you choose to use a third-party vendor instead.

Usually its a better option if you try using an already built pim software.

There are multiple options on the market.

Like Apimio.com, it helps you syndicate and validate easily.
