This post is a part of a larger thread that includes current known issues & required permissions to successfully connect to the Facebook Channel. You can find the Table of Contents for all required permissionshere.
When setting up the Facebook Channel, you may see the message "We're checking the status of your Facebook Commerce Terms. This can take up to 5 minutes" infinitely load under “Terms and Conditions”
This may be a symptom of a step not yet complete in the Facebook Shop or Instagram Shopping features. It's not necessarily a bug, but a display issue. It may look like one of these:
If you see the above loading in the Commerce Settings, check the Overview tab and review if some steps are not complete.
For example, we can see that "Continue Setup" appears for Instagram Shopping. This means there are some steps remaining. If we click "Continue setup", then all we need to pick a checkout option for Instagram Shopping. This should resolve the loading issue under the Commerce Settings tab.
If you are seeing this appear in the Facebook Shop or Instagram Shopping section, then disconnect and reconnect your Facebook account from the first onboarding step in that section.
Here’s an example taken from the ‘Instagram Shopping’ section. You need to click the "Disconnect" button, then immediately reconnect and continue with onboarding as expected.
