So this has been an ongoing problem for me.
My Shopify (Minimal theme) is integrating with Retail Express (https://retailexpress.com.au/).
I create a product in Retail Express, and it sends through to Shopify (so Retail Express is handling inventory and order fulfillment).
I log in to Shopify and add a picture and description, tags etc. I drag-n-drop the variants into the correct order. Save everything, check the website. Product is coming up perfectly.
A day or week later, all variants have defaulted back to the original (alphabetical) order.
I often use CSV files when creating or updating products in Retail Express, so I was wondering if that was affecting it.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to why it may be doing this - and more importantly, how to stop it?
If the products are synced with Retail Express then it is possible that that sync is updating the variant sequence in Shopify.
Please give your store access. to check this and provide solution.
Wow old post I must have never seen the notification. I am still having this issue.
Is my shopify website. In retail express the product variants are in the order I create them (smallest the largest) while in Shopify they appear in alphabetical/numerical order. The alphabetical order is obviously an issue.

@IttantaTech No I'm afraid I don't have a solution as yet. My products are still coming up in numerical/alphabetical order
I can go through and manually fix them (XS-S-M-L-XL), but they eventually revert back (L-M-S-XL-XS) which is very frustrating.
