default (automatic) Google Analytics Snippet location

Hi at all,

sounds maybe simple, but I can't figure out where to find the code..

What I have experienced:
When I enter the Google Analytics ID in the shopify admin interface and Shopify recognizes this id,
after saving, Google Analytics is receiving data from my shop.

This works also, when I did not inserted any GA-Tag-Code Snippet in my theme.

So where does Shopify implement the gtag.js automatically?

can be closed..

edit from my side:

I figured out Shopify injects the GA code with 

<!-- Header hook for plugins ================================================== -->

  {{ content_for_header }}

in my theme and that I won't be able to edit this via hardcoding.
