I have the code, "class="template-index" >", stuck on the top left part of my header on my shopify website. Does anyone know why this is the case? The only app that I have added that had me edit the code is "Advanced Product Options" but when I added it, it didn't show this error message until recently. I am at a loss and need some help. Thank you.

Hi @destinmorrison,

I hope that you are doing well!

This usually occurs due to malformed liquid code within your theme. To ensure that this is resolved correctly, it would be best to get in touch with your theme developer, or Shopify support, who will be able to go into your theme to make sure that this code is formatted correctly and the liquid elements are closed correctly! :)

I hope that this helps.

I already talked to Shopify Support and they said they can't go into my backend and check to see what is causing this issue. I know it is bad code but I just need the file name or the general area to look at and I can try and figure the issue out.

Hey again!

This looks like it's coming from the index.liquid, so that should help!

:)

My index.liquid just sends me to my slideshow section file. Will that contain the issue?

I was getting SAME error when I edit theme.liquid file

What I had done WRONG?

1) I had put the GTM code on my between <body and Class like this

<body
<!-- Google Tag Manager (noscript) -->
<noscript><iframe src="https://www.googletagmanager.com/ns.html?id=MY-GTM-ID"
height="0" width="0" style="display:none;visibility:hidden"></iframe></noscript>
<!-- End Google Tag Manager (noscript) -->
class="template-{{ request.page_type | handle }}">

2) And that is y, I  was getting error

3) So I deleted that one GTM Code after <body

4) I have put the code before </body> and after </ul> like this
</ul>
<!-- Google Tag Manager (noscript) -->
<noscript><iframe src="https://www.googletagmanager.com/ns.html?id=MY-GTM-ID"
height="0" width="0" style="display:none;visibility:hidden"></iframe></noscript>
<!-- End Google Tag Manager (noscript) -->
</body>

5) Both of us done same MISTAKE, we need to put the code before </body> and after </ul>

So it will work properly otherwise you will get the SAME error at each time

I think it helps and please let me know if this helps
if not then please find other liquid files as well where you put the code at WRONG place.
Cheers!
