Hey everyone!
I'm in the final stage of my product sampling. However, I wanted to get the community's feedback on the best options. Before even putting in an order to the manufacturer - To measure demand and order volume -
1) Should I accept pre-orders on our site?
Or
2) Capture emails to be notified later when the item available for sale?
I'm not sure if there's a stigma with pre-orders on new websites so I am considering the second option. Any insight would be great!
Hey!
My personal opinion would be email capture, just due to the fact that if you're using preorder, you'd have to use an app to manage your sales like https://apps.shopify.com/pre-order or https://apps.shopify.com/preorder-me which are both great, but will take some time to set up.
Especially for a new shop, I feel like most of the attention should go to the product, and making the website as nice as possible, not back end features :)
If you need help setting anything up let me know!
Best of luck :)
cheers
