The tl;dr version: How do I set up drop-shippers on Shopify that may not be registered to any of the drop-shipping services/apps on Shopify?
I'm new to Shopify and I'm working on getting a store for architectural resources transferred to this service, but we already have a few warehouses set up for dropshipping with our previous (and antequated) ecommerce solution.
I wasn't around for the founding of our old site, so I'm not 100% on the little details of importing/initializing dropshipping procedures to begin with. Usually I'd find my answers on Google, but most every article, forum post, or FAQ I've found has little or no information about properly setting up dropshipping. It's typically more about finding dropshippers for new stores or maintaining good relations or a profitable business with dropshippers.
These are also shippers that have been working with my company for decades, some don't even have a website, so if they aren't registered with some app on the Shopify platform, would I still be able to use their stock and shipping methods, as well as pay them? Is there some way I can manually input all the info needed and take care of this without an app?
Any advice at all on the matter is greatly appreciated. Especially any guides or even YouTube videos.
Hi, my app Simple Purchase Orders can definitely meet your shop's needs. It allows you to set up suppliers and import products and set cost prices. You can then automatically generate purchase orders from orders your customers make and it will import all of the items they order and their address and email it to your supplier.
