The e-commerce environment consists of 3 main elements - pre-order, post-order, and logistics. In my 15 plus years in this environment, I have realized that part of the process that is frequently overlooked is the pre-order shipping scenario. Many merchants do not realize or fully understand how important accurate shipping can be to the bottom line in determining how successful an online store can be. I wanted to create an open dialogue of what the issues are and their solutions.
