Hey @Dimosgis1980,

Welcome to the Shopify Community!

In general, you can start selling products on Shopify as a private person, but you may be subject to certain regulations depending on your local laws and regulations.

If you plan to operate as a freelancer, you may be able to do so without registering a business or obtaining a VAT number. However, you should check with your local government to determine if there are any regulations or requirements that apply to freelancers.

It's important to note that if you start selling products, you will need to keep track of your income and expenses for tax purposes. You may need to file taxes as a self-employed individual, depending on your local laws.

What products are you hoping to sell?

Hello @Dimosgis1980 ,

It's still possible for you to selling products as private person. Here are a few points to consider:

  • Business registration: In Greece, there may be thresholds or requirements that determine when you need to register as a business entity. These thresholds can vary depending on factors such as revenue, type of business, and specific local regulations. You may need a consultant with the to understand the registration requirements and obligations in Greece.
  • Tax obligations: Even as a private individual selling products, you may still have tax obligations. In Greece, you may need to declare your income and potentially pay income tax or other relevant taxes.
  • Freelancer status: If you are providing services or working on a freelance basis, they are often required to register with the tax authorities and follow certain procedures.

Hope this can help.
