Am i need to ceate a company to sell products?

Hello, i dont have business or a VAT number yet. Can i start selling products as a private person, or i need first to start a business based on the procedures of the Greek territory? In additional if there isnt way to start as a person i need to ask you (if you know) if I can start as a freelancer or if I have to open a basic business with financial data and documents.
