Business tax id does not match company name error message

I am getting the error message "Business tax id does not match company name. Please ensure that your legal business name is exactly as registered with the IRS. DBAs ("doing business as" names) can not be used in this registration."  I am using the info right off the sales and use tax permit.  I have tried ssn, EIN with and without "-", included and excluded the ",LLC" at the end of the company name, but I keep getting the error message.  Please advise how to address this.

Me too and Shopify won’t fix the error. This is a nightmare

I'm having it too. I sent them my Tax ID a week ago and they still won't fix it.

I ave same issue and no resolution.  Will hope this is fixed. I'm a new customer and my first experience trying to correct something is very confusing.

Hi Rduran, I am a new user with the same problem exactly. You detailed it very well. Was it ever resolved?

Yes. But it took a lot of persistence. They allowed me to upload my tax forms and requested I complete another form. It was a month in total.
