Can I use Avalara for tax calculations on Shopify?

Avalara AvaTax is a paid service available for Shopify Plus plans only. This is our enterprise level subscription plan for large businesses. 

If that doesn't suit your current situation, you still can use a variety of other tax management tools to integrate with Shopify in our app store! For example, there are several apps that integrate with quickbooks that you can install to your Shopify store and use to sync your Shopify store to a quickbooks online account.

This software might be exactly what you're after.  It acts as a bridge between your shopify and Quickbooks or Xero accounting software.  It does all the time consuming tax implication work for you however - well worth at least looking into.
