Can Sales Tax Nexus Exclude External Marketplaces

Hello!

We integrate data from Amazon and eBay into our Shopify Dashboard for analytics purposes.  Is there any way to have the sales tax nexus calculation exclude those transactions so the functionality is giving us a true alert for Shopify-only transactions?

Thank you!

Actually, in most states you need to include the revenue and transactions from ALL sales channels including external marketplaces like Amazon and eBay.  There are a few states where you would want to exclude these revenues.  I don't have the list of states to exclude at my fingertips, but I'll post if I come across it.

Do I understand you to say that even though Amazon and eBay collect their own taxes, those sales are to be included in establishing economic nexus?  If so, wow!

The following 26 states include sales via a marketplace as part of their measure of reaching the economic nexus thresholds: CA, CT, DC, HI, ID, IA, KS, KY, MD, MI, MN, NE, NV, NJ, NY, NC, OH, PA, RI, SC, SD, TX, VT, WA, WV, and WI.
