You mentioned that you would like to delete your previous years sales information? Are you able to specify which data you would like to remove? I'd also love to know more about why you would like to delete this information so I can point you in the right direction. For instance, If you're looking to delete orders and remove them from your Shopify admin, you can follow this guide here. You can also look to manually export your Shopify orders and manage your orders in a separate spreadsheet. This can be done by heading over to Orders, click Export orders by date, and you will be able to filter your orders for a certain period of time.

We are looking to sell the website and I don’t want them to have access to previous sales history. Not looking to delete previous order just the sales figures in Shopify reports.

Thank you for clarifying. 

I understand how removing your sales figure would ensure privacy for when you make the sale, but this is not possible at the moment. A solution to this would be to create a new store and transfer all of the information. We have a very helpful guide that goes over how to transfer all of your data like store content, products, domain, shipping, taxes. etc. While you won't be able to import your orders on your new store, you will be able to provide your buyer with a CSV file that contains all of your past orders. You can do this by heading over to your Admin section, click on Orders, Export, and selecting a time frame. 

I'd also be happy to pass your suggestions along to our developers for future considerations as I can understand your situation.

I can definitely understand the urgency for the ability to remove previous sales reports. At this time, this is not possible, and the only workaround would be to export all of your stores information to a new store. With that being said,I have shared these additional details with our developers. While I cannot guarantee the change will be applied, I will say the more requests we get for certain features the more likely they are to be rolled out. 

Kindly keep an eye on the Shopify Changelog for updates on any new developments.

Hi. Same boat. We are selling our store and would like to delete all historical data. Is there any way we can do this without having to redesign the store? The buyer wants to keep the design and all the content and work we have put into it. Has Shopify figured out a way to do this yet? It would be SUPER helpful!!

I know how convenient this would be as you're selling your store, however, it is not possible to delete historical sales data as Shopify maintains a complete record of all transactions on the platform. Rest assured, you could export all of your stores information to a new store which will save time instead of redesigning the store manually.
